The Saxon Academy of Sciences and Humanities cooperates with national academies of other countries as well as with a number of research institutions world wide.

Czech Academy of Sciences

Polish Academy of Sciences

The cooperation agreement with the Polish Acacemy of Sciences was signed in autumn 2025. The cooperation is to cover various research topis both in the sciences and the humanities. Topics of particular interest include history, artificial intelligence, dynamic processes, biodiversity, and climate.

Spanish Institute of Historical and Judicial Sciences

International Projects

Buddhist Murals of Kucha on the Northern Silk Road — involving scientists from various European countries, China, Japan and the United States of America

Encyclopedia of Jewish History and Culture — involving more than 500 authors from Germany and abroad
